Transform Your Life With Hypnotherapy
Are you overwhelmed and having a tough time dealing with the challenges life keeps throwing your way? You’re doing your best to try to stay afloat, but you feel like you’re drowning in stress, anxiety, depression and/or grief and loss. You’ve noticed a significant decline in your overall well-being mentally, emotionally, physically, and maybe even spiritually or relationally. You can’t remember the last time you felt like yourself with a sense of calm, peace, and happiness.
You’re trying to keep it together by putting one foot in front of the other and focusing on your roles and responsibilities, but it’s not working. The effects of these problems have started seeping into other areas of your life such as your relationships, your career, and are holding you back from fulfilling your goals.
Perhaps you’re filled with anxiety, worry, and stress about things that are out of your control. You notice your thoughts are racing so fast it’s hard to focus and you feel like there’s an elephant sitting on your chest making it hard to breathe. No matter how hard you try to disconnect, the worrisome thoughts keep you up at night and you wake up each day feeling exhausted. If not treated, this vicious cycle of anxiety and stress can cause many physical ailments and somatic complaints.
Maybe you’re feeling depressed, overwhelmed and exhausted. Do you find that it’s difficult to find the energy or motivation to get out of bed in the morning? You feel like you’re living in groundhogs day where each day is the same over and over, with little to no relief. It’s difficult to focus on daily tasks such as school or work and even more difficult to be really present and focused in our relationships with others. Depression can make you feel like you’re swimming through mud.
Or maybe you’ve been struggling with a past trauma or grief of losing someone dear to you. Grief can make you feel like you’re living in a fog and can suck your energy dry, which makes it difficult to decide what to do next. You worry about whether you have made or will make the right decision? Unresolved grief can also leave you you feeling ill despite there being no physical or medical explanation. These are all signs of the grieving process and are a natural response to grief and loss, whether the loss was of a person, relationship, career, etc.
Being on the emotional roller coaster associated with grief, trauma, anxiety and/or depression can be daunting, exhausting, and it seems as though it will never end. If we don’t deal with them, they will deal with us in one way or another.
These challenges can become barriers preventing us from being the best versions of ourselves and can hold us back from our goals and dreams. These obstacles may have cost you relationships, including your relationship with yourself, being with someone more deserving of your time and love, better jobs, and/or a number of other situations that you could be involved in right now. Friends and family can drop away and go on with their lives while you are in the depths of your grief, and see no end to it in sight.
Chances are you have tried a number of coping skills, some healthy, some not so healthy. This trial and error path can be discouraging, time consuming, and expensive.
You're Not Alone!
These feelings of inadequacy, anxiety, sadness, despair, and grief are all a part of life at times. Loss of a loved one, a pet, a relationship, or a job, can all cause grief. There is a void left within us that shakes our foundation to the core. And sometimes multiple challenges happen simultaneously leaving us feeling lost, overwhelmed, helpless, and sometimes even hopeless.
Mental health challenges such as grief, anxiety, depression or trauma happen to most people during various difficulties in their lives. Therapy and hypnotherapy is a process and takes work to heal. It’s the most important work we ever do and the most valuable investment you could ever make.
You deserve a safe, non-judgmental, and compassionate space to reflect, feel heard, and understood on your journey toward health and healing. Bayview Therapy gives you that safe space so that you can calm, soothe, and restore yourself.
What is Hypnosis Therapy or Hypnotherapy?
Sometimes known as trance or altered state of consciousness, hypnosis is an effective way to relax the mind, body, and connect with your true self. Hypnotherapy uses hypnosis to bypass the mind and connect with the true self, or subconscious mind, to gain insight, break through barriers, and to create lasting results in your life.
During hypnosis, your therapist will invite you into a natural, relaxed state similar to like the relaxed state between sleep and awake. Although, you might get really relaxed during your experience with hypnosis, you won't actually fall asleep. You will be fully aware of your experience in our office. You've likely experienced a similar state of trance many times in your life such as when you're really focused and in "the zone" doing something that you love such as gardening or running; getting lost in a good movie; or even driving home without remembering exactly how you got there.
Hypnosis is an effective therapeutic tool that is used to treat several types of anomalies or viewpoints that have become obstacles to your living a fuller life. Hypnotherapy helps with everyday challenges as well as more severe anxiety, depression, trauma, chronic pain, and/or grief and loss.
Heal From the Past, Overcome Barriers, &
Reach Your Optimal Potential with Hypnotherapy
Hypnotherapy is an inwardly directed process that will help you to learn about yourself, your triggers, your barriers and how to overcome them.. When you know yourself, you can design your life in ways that suit your unique needs, goals, and dreams. Hypnosis is a way to access that knowing so that you can live your life in a way that best suits you.
Because hypnotherapy works at a deeper level in the being, the subconscious mind, the process is customized for the individual and results last longer than communication with the mind alone.
Questions or Concerns About Hypnotherapy
Is hypnosis safe?
You will not be doing anything that contradicts with your moral or ethical values and are in control at all times. We first create a safe and trusting space for you, and then continue with relaxation and discussion that is directed inwardly. The atmosphere is spa-like, so that you can quiet the mind and connect with your true self. This connection aids in clarifying issues, and helps in creating and moving towards your goals.
Will I know what is going on?
There are many levels of trance, but most people are very aware of what’s happening during hypnotherapy. It’s a state of relaxed focus. Your mind may drift at times or your mind may focus on the words or something else, but whatever experience you have is ok.
How long will it take?
Understandably, the sooner you see results, the better. A lot of success with hypnotherapy and traditional talk therapy depends on how motivated and willing you are to put in the time and effort into exploring and healing.
Most likely you are here because you have thought about the condition that you want to change a lot and are now determined to get to the cause of it and move forward. With this determination in mind, we move forward as quickly as you wish. Many people get involved with therapeutic self-exploration at times of life transitions; when they need a check-up or some direction on a decision they are making. You decide when you are at a point that you are satisfied with the progress that you have made.
You Deserve to Live to Your Fullest Potential
