Finding the Right Therapist is Important...
Finding the right therapist should be easy. But in reality, it's time consuming and overwhelming to search through a sea of counseling websites and therapy directory profiles.
I get it, I've been there... That's why I want to make this process as easy as possible for you.
I believe in the power of personal and professional development, which is why I've sought my own therapy at various times in my life. But, this is about YOU, not me. I want you to have a positive experience and successful outcome with therapy.
It's essential you feel comfortable with your therapist and confident in their ability to help you reach your desired goals. Our multidisciplinary team of caring and dedicated clinicians specialize in different areas and offer different price ranges to best meet the needs of our south Florida community.
"Helping individuals and couples become the best versions of themselves, experience greater happiness, and more fulfilling relationships."

About Fort Lauderdale Couples Counselor
& Therapist, Dr. Kate Campbell, LMFT
Hello and thank you for taking the time to visit our website. I’m Dr. Kate Campbell, President and Founder of Bayview Therapy, a counseling and psychology group practice located in east Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33308.
I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with an entrepreneurial spirit. When I moved to sunny Fort Lauderdale from North Carolina in 2004 to attend graduate school at Nova Southeastern University, I knew I would be settled here for the long haul.
I’ve always had roots in Fort Lauderdale. My grandparents lived here and I spent a lot of time with them growing up. I feel deeply connected to our beautiful community and I'm grateful for the opportunity to raise my family here as well. That is why I'm so driven to make a difference in south Florida, one relationship at a time.
I feel called to help individuals and couples develop more meaningful and fulfilling relationships for a variety of reasons. We are relational being and we thrive when our relationships are in a good place.
I truly believe that healthy relationships and happy marriages are the backbone of every family. Having a strong, healthy and happy relationship is greatly beneficial. Not only does it improve your physical and mental health, it also teaches children (if you have them) about the kind or relationship they want to have in the future. That's my "why"... why I do what I do... why I've followed my calling to help as many people as possible to have thriving, vibrant relationships.
It was always my dream to build a group private practice so we could make a greater impact in our community. We opened Bayview Therapy in 2011 and quickly became one of Fort Lauderdale's most trusted counseling and psychology private practices. We all love our work and strive to provide the highest quality service for each and every client. We are currently accepting new clients and we look forward to speaking with you!
Transforming the world one relationship at a time by inspiring individuals and couples to develop more meaningful relationships and live happier lives.
As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I am trained to look at relationships from a systemic perspective, always considering the context. I’m passionate about working with individuals and couples helping them to enhance their relationships and live, happier, more fulfilled lives.
Each day, I feel honored and privileged to engage in therapeutic conversations that facilitate hope, healing, and empowerment. I am genuinely proud of my work, because I see people’s lives change in amazing ways.
I am driven to help individuals and couples overcome the adversity they face and create the positive changes they desire. This leads to more balanced and harmonious lives. Essentially, I empower individuals and couples to reach their optimal potential both personally and professionally through using brief and effective strategies.
I absolutely love my work, which fuels my enthusiasm for helping people to reach their goals. It’s important that people find a therapist who is passionately committed to the profession, because the therapeutic relationship has a direct influence on therapeutic outcome. My passionate commitment for the therapeutic process is based on my desire to help clients utilize their strengths and resources to move toward their goals, dreams, and aspirations.
Counseling for Individuals & Couples
What to Expect in Therapy
My role as a therapist is to become an agent of change for my clients through utilizing a strength-based and solution-oriented therapeutic approach. I am passionate about my work with clients and fully committed to providing the highest level of customized services to exceed their individualized needs and expectations.
My intention is to empower people to help themselves through exploring past successes, strengths, and resources leading to the development of uniquely tailored solutions for overcoming a variety of presenting problems.
My therapeutic stance is one of genuine curiosity, respect, empathy, compassion, understanding, and acceptance. Within therapeutic conversations, I seek to gain an understanding of each client’s context through asking questions about their experiences, perceptions, meanings, and expectations.
My intention is to work collaboratively with clients to co-construct meaningful therapeutic goals, which are a priority in our therapeutic direction. Although I do help people to change their relationship with a variety of past experiences, I tend to focus more on creating healthy shifts in their present reality and generating hopes for the future.
I operate under the assumption that life’s challenges are separate from the individual, couple, or family presenting with them. Through collaborative conversations we are able to use each person’s unique set of beliefs, values, hopes, and commitments to decrease the influence of the problems on their life. In essence, I help people to creatively reclaim their personal power and authority by changing how they relate to the difficulties in their life.

More About Dr. Kate
My Education Background
I began practicing psychotherapy in 2003 and quickly discovered my passion for the field and vision for my professional future. Both my Master’s and Doctorate degrees were awarded from the Family Therapy program atNova Southeastern University. My love for the profession inspired my dissertation research, which was entitled, ‘Passionately Committed Marriage and Family Therapists: A Grounded Theory Exploration of What Works.’ In addition, I have a Bachelor’s degree in Child Development and Family Relations with a Minor in Psychology from East Carolina University.
My Professional Experience
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Hypnotherapist, previous Adjunct Faculty Member in the Family Therapy Department at Nova Southeastern University, and Past President of the Broward Association of Marriage and Family Therapy. Furthermore, I am a Clinical Fellow of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT), a AAMFT Approved Supervisor, and Florida Qualified Supervisor for Registered Intern Marriage and Family Therapists.
My Entrepreneurial Journey
I was born into a family of hard-working entrepreneurs who owned many different types of family businesses, which inspired my personal passion for business and entrepreneurship! It was always my dream to create a thriving private practice where other expert therapists who are passionate about their work and committed to the profession could work collaboratively together.
Just For Fun
When I’m not busy working with clients or inspiring other private practitioners to build their dream practices, I spend time rejuvenating with my family and friends. I’m a self-proclaimed food and wine connoisseur so I love going to new restaurants. My hobbies are music, pilates, swimming, riding horses, traveling, going to concerts, and of course some retail therapy every now and then (haha).
