“Helping teens and adults overcome anxiety, stress, and trauma, so they can reconnect with their authentic selves and live a more balanced, meaningful life.”

Personal challenges can often feel overwhelming, making it hard to move forward. You may find yourself trapped in cycles of anxious, negative, or self-defeating thoughts and behaviors. These emotional, mental, and physical barriers can prevent you from living a healthier, more fulfilling life.
I believe that every person has the inherent ability to heal, and my role is to help you tap into that strength. Together, we’ll work on developing coping strategies, enhancing your self-worth, and fostering a more positive mindset. I know that taking the first step toward therapy can feel daunting, so I truly commend you for being here and taking this important step toward change.
Have you ever tried to quiet your mind, only to feel that your brain does not listen? It’s exhausting to be in a constant battle with your thoughts. Even when things seem calm on the outside, you might still feel tense and on edge, with worries or racing thoughts taking over.
This mental and emotional stress might also be showing up in physical ways—muscle tension, fatigue, stomach issues, sleep disturbances, difficulty concentrating, a racing heart, and even a weakened immune system.
Whether you are navigating stress, trauma, emotional challenges, or relational difficulties – or simply seeking a safe space to talk – you are in the right place. I’m here to support you in overcoming whatever challenges you’re facing and to help create lasting, meaningful change.
Imagine what your life could look like if you had the tools to navigate your personal challenges and took that first step toward helping yourself.
You have the ability to regain control over the stressors that seem to control you. Collaboratively, we will embark on a journey of self-exploration and understanding, strengthening your connection with both yourself and others. Whether you know exactly what’s causing your distress or feel unsure about the source, I’ll help you uncover the root of what brings you to therapy and equip you with the tools to cope, heal, and move forward.
I provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can show up as your true self. I approach every client with authenticity, empathy, and openness, offering support tailored to where you are in your therapy journey.

My Counseling Services for Teens & Adults
in Coral Springs & Fort Lauderdale:
Pre-Teen & Teen Counseling:
Is your teen struggling with anxiety, navigating challenging relationships with peers or family, dealing with low self-esteem, or feeling down or irritable? Maybe they’re having difficulty adjusting to new transitions? If so, you’ve come to the right place. My approach to working with teens is collaborative, supportive, and engaging, fostering a strong therapeutic relationship built on trust and understanding. I focus on creating a nonjudgmental, relatable space where your teen can feel comfortable and heard.
In my work with teens, I emphasize meeting their individual needs while also considering the dynamics of the family. Parent involvement is tailored to the unique goals and personality of your teen, ensuring the best outcomes for everyone involved.
I help teens express themselves more openly, build confidence in who they are, and develop healthier coping strategies for life’s challenges. Adolescence can be difficult and uncomfortable, and my goal is to equip your teen with the tools they need to navigate these ups and downs with resilience. Together, we’ll explore their evolving identity and sense of self, providing a safe environment where they can discover their strengths, values, and confidence.
I also enjoy teaching practical skills like effective communication, emotion regulation, relaxation techniques, and setting healthy boundaries. By empowering teens to set meaningful goals and limits in their lives, I help them grow into the confident, capable individuals they’re meant to be.
Adult Counseling:
I offer a safe and supportive space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings without judgment. Therapy is a chance to step away from the chaos of daily life and approach your experiences with curiosity and compassion, rather than criticism.
My approach to therapy is individualized, integrative, collaborative, and intentional. I place great emphasis on building a strong therapeutic relationship, taking the time to truly understand you so you can grow at your own pace. This foundation allows us to work together toward your goals in a meaningful and effective way.
I believe in creating an environment where you can feel comfortable being yourself, and I incorporate humor when appropriate to help ease tension and foster a genuine connection. I seek to empower you to take control of your life and create lasting changes that align with the life you envision and deserve.
I specialize in working with adults facing stress, anxiety, trauma/PTSD, life transitions, relational difficulties, and low self-esteem. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed by worry, stress, and anxiety, with a strong desire to make positive changes. Whether you’re a young adult navigating the transition into adulthood or an individual facing challenges later in life, it’s never too late to begin therapy and start making meaningful shifts in your life.
In our sessions, we will work together to address self-defeating thoughts, behaviors, and barriers that may be holding you back from achieving your goals. We will explore past experiences and how they influence your present life, helping you better understand yourself and heal from trauma, self-criticism, and repressed emotions.
I also help clients develop healthier coping strategies and build on your existing strengths to create lasting change. Together, we will shift negative thought patterns into more rational and constructive ones. Additionally, I provide concrete tools and resources that can be used both during and outside of our sessions, offering practical support.
Counseling for Athletes, Former Athletes, & High Achievers:
As a former competitive athlete, I understand the unique challenges that come with striving for excellence. I help athletes, former athletes, and high achievers manage performance anxiety, confidence concerns, perfectionism, and the pressure to constantly perform.
Together, we work through stress, burnout, injury recovery, and athletic identity transitions. I also support clients in developing a healthier relationship with self-image and body image. For high achievers, success often comes with intense expectations, self-criticism, and the feeling that you always need to do more. Therapy can help you find balance, quiet the inner pressure, and create a healthier relationship with achievement.
A key part of our work is learning to separate your worth from your performance and build a stronger sense of internal worth that is not dependent on accomplishments, outcomes, or external validation. My goal is to help you build resilience, strengthen confidence, and thrive both in and outside of your sport, career, or personal pursuits.
Counseling for Stress Management:
Chronic stress can impact both mental and physical health, contributing to symptoms such as headaches, insomnia, muscle tension, digestive issues, and emotional overwhelm. Because stress affects the whole person, it's important to address both mind and body in treatment.
If you are feeling burnt out, you are not alone. While stress is a natural part of life, many of us were never taught how to manage it effectively. I help individuals develop healthy coping strategies and outlets to navigate life's challenges with greater balance and resilience. You will learn practical tools such as breathing exercises, mindfulness, and other mind-body techniques to reduce stress, regulate emotions, and ease physical tension caused by stress.
These tools will enable you to respond to life’s stressors with greater balance and control, allowing you to approach future stressors from a more grounded place rather than from a place of overwhelm.
We will also explore ways to set healthy boundaries, improve work-life balance, strengthen communication skills, and prioritize self-care. Throughout the process, you will build self compassion while also recognizing the strengths and resilience you already hold.
Counseling for Anxiety:
Trying to quiet the mind can often feel frustrating when thoughts refuse to slow down and it can often feel like a constant battle with your own mind. Even when things seem calm on the outside, you may still feel tense and on edge, with worries, overthinking, or racing thoughts taking over. Anxiety can also show up physically through muscle tension, fatigue, digestive issues, sleep disturbances, difficulty concentrating, a racing heart, and other stress-related symptoms.
Many of the individuals I work with experience high-functioning anxiety, where they appear successful, responsible, and put-together on the outside while internally struggling with excessive worry, perfectionism, self-criticism, difficulty relaxing, or feeling like they can never do enough.
I help individuals recognize and challenge the thought patterns that fuel anxiety and replace them with more balanced, realistic perspectives. Together, we will develop effective coping skills, learn relaxation and mindfulness techniques, and make meaningful behavioral changes that reduce anxiety and increase emotional resilience.
By addressing the underlying factors contributing to anxiety, whether rooted in past experiences, unhelpful thinking patterns, or current life stressors, I help clients regain a sense of control and confidence. I aim to help you build a healthier relationship with anxiety so it no longer dictates your life, allowing you to feel more present, grounded, and fulfilled.
Counseling for Low Self-Esteem:
Low self-esteem often shows up as persistent self-doubt, negative self-talk, frequent comparison to others, and a tendency to question your worth or decisions. Many individuals describe feeling like they are never “enough,” even when they are functioning well on the outside. These patterns can significantly impact confidence, relationships, and overall emotional well-being.
I help individuals break free from these unhelpful thought patterns and shift their inner dialogue toward a more balanced and compassionate perspective. Together, we will identify and challenge self-critical beliefs while exploring the experiences, relationships, and influences that have shaped your sense of self-worth.
In our work together, we focus on developing a healthier internal voice and more positive self image by learning to interrupt self-defeating thoughts, strengthen self-compassion, and reconnect with your strengths and values. As you build these skills, my goal is for you to develop a more grounded sense of self-worth that is not driven by comparison or perfection, but by self acceptance, confidence, and trust in yourself.
Counseling for Trauma & PTSD:
Healing from trauma is possible, no matter how long ago it was, or how “big” or “small” it may feel. Trauma can leave lasting emotional, psychological, and physical effects, especially when an experience has felt overwhelming or outside of your control. Many people notice this impact in the form of anxiety, depression, numbness, reactivity to stress, or difficulty feeling safe and present in their body and daily life.
I provide a safe, supportive space to gently explore these experiences at your own pace. In our work together, we focus on helping your nervous system feel more regulated and supported, while processing the effects of trauma. This often includes reconnecting with your body, understanding survival responses like shutdown or hypervigilance, and building a greater sense of internal safety. Trauma therapy may also involve processing and reworking distressing memories and beliefs so they no longer carry the same emotional intensity or sense of threat.
Trauma therapy can also support you in strengthening boundaries, reconnecting with your needs, and moving out of survival mode into greater stability and self-trust. Over time, this work can reduce distress and empower you to experience more moments of joy and connection.
My Story:
For as long as I can remember, I have always been the person my friends and family turned to during difficult times—a safe and trusted listener. Offering a listening ear and providing support has always felt like second nature to me. Over the years, this deep-rooted passion for helping others navigate their challenges has shaped my career as a therapist. It is truly a privilege to create a space for people as they explore their struggles and find their path to healing.
I’ve seen firsthand how tough times can affect those we care about, and I’ve also experienced the mental and physical toll of being a competitive athlete. Throughout my gymnastics career, I developed both valuable strengths and negative mental and physical habits that shaped my sense of self. I constantly strived for perfection, but I soon realized that perfectionism often brings a harsh inner critic that limits growth.
Through my own journey of self-discovery, I recognized that I also needed to do the work to unlock my authentic self. By addressing and shifting these mental blocks and dysfunctional thought patterns, I began to embrace my true self. Now, I’m deeply committed to helping others achieve the same—to break through their own barriers, cultivate self-compassion, and step into their most authentic selves.
My Background in Counseling & Psychology:
I am the founder and owner of Coastal Healing Counseling, LLC. I graduated from Florida State University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and criminology (Go Noles!), and later completed my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at St. John’s University.
Throughout my career, I have gained experience working in private practice, as well as community-based and residential settings. My background also includes experience supporting individuals of all backgrounds and ages in the mental health, social work, and criminal justice fields.

Just For Fun...
When I’m not working, I stay connected to my inner athlete through exercise. You’ll often find me at the gym, attending a yoga or HIIT class, or enjoying a walk outdoors. I believe in the importance of both mental and physical wellness, as well as self-care. I also love spending time with my friends and family, and making others laugh.
In addition, I love spending time at the beach and listening to music. I am a huge foodie and coffee connoisseur who enjoys trying new food, restaurants, and coffee shops.
Why Work with Me in Therapy?
Finding the right therapist can be one of the most challenging, yet crucial, steps in the healing process. Before working with me, many of my clients struggled to connect with other therapists or had negative therapeutic experiences.
I take great pride in my ability to create a safe, open, and non-judgmental space where healing can happen. The therapeutic relationship is vital to me, and I welcome your thoughts, feedback, and openness throughout our work together.
I also enjoy digging deeper with my clients. Beneath the issues that are presenting themselves, I believe there is a lot of stress and trauma that also needs attention. People can fall into repetitive patterns when they don’t address the root causes.
Don’t let unhealed wounds or unhealthy thought and behavior patterns keep you stuck. You have the power to choose: you can stay where you are, or you can break free and move forward. Healing and addressing these patterns will open doors to new opportunities, some of which you might not even be able to imagine yet.
You deserve to show up for yourself and invest in your own growth. Remember, your dreams won’t work unless you do. I encourage you to trust the process—and together, we’ll put in the work necessary for your transformation.
