This website is not medical care
The content on this website, including service pages, blog articles, the psychology glossary, and the self-assessments, is provided for general education. It is not medical or mental health advice, it is not a diagnosis, and it is not a substitute for evaluation and treatment by a licensed professional who knows your history.
No therapist and client relationship is created by reading this website, taking a self-assessment, submitting a contact form, or exchanging emails or text messages with us. That relationship begins only when you and a Bayview Therapy clinician have completed intake and signed a written agreement for services.
In an emergency
Do not use this website to seek help in a crisis. We do not monitor forms, email, or text messages around the clock, and we cannot respond to emergencies.

Self-assessments and screening tools
The self-assessments on this website are educational screening tools written by our clinical team. They are not diagnostic instruments, they have not been independently validated, and a result of any kind does not confirm or rule out a condition.
Your answers are processed in your browser. We do not receive, store, or transmit them, and results are not added to any clinical record. A result should be treated as a starting point for a conversation with a qualified clinician, not as a conclusion about your health.
Scope of services and licensure
Bayview Therapy clinicians are licensed in the State of Florida and may provide services only to clients physically located in Florida at the time of a session, or in other states where an individual clinician holds a separate license. Being outside Florida during a scheduled session may require rescheduling.
We are an outpatient practice. We do not provide medical detoxification, inpatient or residential treatment, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient programming, or 24-hour crisis services. Where a higher level of care is needed, we will say so and help you find an appropriate provider.
Appointments, fees, and cancellations
Fees, insurance participation, and out-of-network arrangements are discussed before services begin and are set out in the written agreement you sign at intake. That agreement, not this website, governs the terms of your care.
You are entitled to a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges under the No Surprises Act. See our Good Faith Estimate page for details.
Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours notice may be charged. The specific policy is stated in your service agreement.
Communications and text messaging
Email and SMS are not secure channels and should not be used to send detailed clinical or sensitive personal information. By providing your phone number you consent to receive appointment and service-related messages from us. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies.
You may opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP, or reply HELP for assistance. Opting out of texts does not withdraw your consent to treatment or affect your care. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle the information you share with us.
Intellectual property
All content on this website, including text, articles, glossary entries, assessment questions, graphics, illustrations, photographs, and the Bayview Therapy name and logo, is owned by Bayview Therapy or used under license, and is protected by copyright and trademark law.
You may read, print, and share this content for your own personal, non-commercial use with attribution to Bayview Therapy. You may not republish, sell, or reproduce it commercially, or use it to train machine learning models for commercial purposes, without our written permission.
