Bayview Therapy is committed to making our website usable for everyone, including people who are blind or have low vision, people who are Deaf or hard of hearing, and people with mobility, cognitive, or other disabilities.
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, and we review the site regularly as we add new pages, photos, and videos.
What we have done
- Pages are built to work with screen readers, with descriptive headings, labeled forms and buttons, and text descriptions for meaningful images.
- Every page can be used with a keyboard alone, with visible focus outlines and a "skip to main content" link.
- Text can be enlarged with your browser zoom without breaking the layout, and pages adapt to phones and tablets.
- Videos request captions automatically. Animations pause for visitors who turn on reduced motion in their device settings.
- Spanish and Portuguese content is marked with the correct language so screen readers pronounce it properly. We also offer counseling in Spanish and Portuguese.
