Many people ask what mindfulness is. The definition is a mental state achieved by focusing one's awareness on the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting one's feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations, used as a therapeutic technique. In short, it's being aware of your feelings and thoughts in the present moment without judgement.
Practicing mindfulness can change your brain by helping you to focus on the task at hand instead of being jerked around by your thoughts.
